latest enhance firmware for SIMCOM SIM900 module (1137B03SIM900M64_ST_ENHANCE )

In continuation to my posts regarding firmwares for SIMCOM modules , here is the latest firmware for sim900.  It supports the  following along with other standard  features

  • DTMF
  • Jamming detection
  • MMS
  • GSM location
  • Email

The new features and improvements compared to the previous version can be found in the Release notes attached

[New Features]

  • 1. Added NTP function.
  • 2. Added “AT+CMMSTYPECTL” to set the assembling method of MMS to be sent. 0 is the default value which indicates application/vnd.wap.multipart.mixed method, and 1 is for application/vnd.wap.multipart.related method.
  • 3. Added “AT+FTPRENAME” command to rename the specified file of remote machine.
  • 4. Added “AT+FTPMDTM” command to get the last modification timestamp of specified file on the remote machine.
  • 5. Added “AT+SJDEDV” command to set threshold for entering and exiting JD condition.
  • 6. Added “AT+CQUICKPDP” to adjust T3380 and T3390.

[Improved Features] 

  • 1. Fixed the spelling mistake of the abbreviation of “October” when sending a email by using SMTP.
  • 2. Solved the problem when processing the test command and read command of CSMINS it doesn’t return the result in a new line.
  • 3. Solved the problem that the net light will not be turned off when POWERKEY is pulled to high level.
  • 4. Solved the problem that CELLID is not correct after using CELLLOCK command.
  • 5. Added “AT+FTPQCLOSE” command, when “AT+FTPQCLOSE=1” is set, the problem that it takes a long time to wait for the return result of FTP download operation can be solved.
  • 6. Solved the problem that some websites cannot be obtained by HTTP GET method.

  1. MY MODULE SIM900 REALIZES A SEQUENCE OF COMMANDS AND THEN IT IS TURNED OFF BY INSERTING SIM CARD FROM ENTEL, I AM FROM CHILE.

    1. I assume you are referring to the network LED. It should not stop blinking but should blink at a slower rate. Can you please let me know your location and the network your SIM card is on?

  3. Hey Muhammed,

    I flashed my SIM900A module a month ago. But it suddenly, stopped working and return to the initial state, what cause may be responsible for this?

  4. Off topic but I have an issue when trying to send SMS message using SIM900 module.
    I’m using the firmware version: 1137B03SIM900M64_ST_ENHACE
    Here is my problem:

    AT+CMGF=1\r

OK

AT+CSCS="GSM"

OK

AT+CMGS="+xxxxxxxxxxx"

> my_message_here_which_is_more_than_70_characters

+CME ERROR: 765

    Can you give me some help over this?

      1. Hi, my message contains only alphabetic characters, from ‘a’ to ‘z’ and ‘A’ to ‘Z’ only. I tried the same message with another module (different firmware version) and successfully get this done. What should I do now ? Thank you.

          1. I’m sorry, the other module’s firmware version is the same (1137B03SIM900M64_ST_ENHACE).
            Is there any setting for SMS sending function ?

          3. “May be you are sending in Text format while AT+CMGF is not set for text!”
            So which command is for setting text mode ? I’ve stuck at this for nearly 3 days.

          5. Thank you, but they shown the same way as I did before. Is there any command to reset the SMS function back to factory setting.

          7. after issuing the AT&F command, it works now, it’s might because some of my setting was affected this function, I’m gonna double check them right now. thank you for your kindfully help.

    Please can you explain me which is the latest firmware for SIM900 :
    B03 ?? 1137B03SIM900M64_ST_ENHANCE
    or
    B13 ?? 1137B13SIM900M64_ST.rar
